Newest Prototype Philips LCD TVs

Philips LCD TVs really have created a leading television by providing high-definition TV on the Forefront of future technology. This 100-inch, super-sized LCD TV is not only special because of its size, but because of Ambilight technology, today Philips LCD TVs are the most innovative products.

Ambilight technology, called Full Surround is a new 100-inch LCD TV; refer to specific forms of backlighting with color that changes according to the appropriate program materials and color of pixel, called pixel plus 3HD processing.
Ambilight works by making multi-color, glowing halo around the edges of the TV screen. In the new 100-inch prototype Philips LCD TVs, Ambilight technology, which occurred on the fourth side of the screen rather than the traditional two-sided Ambilight technology found in the recent TV LCD's; so called "Full Surround."
Ambilight technology, which offers a variety of choices, even a strong white light that, reflects the light show without the need of the white wall behind him. Images on the new 100-inch super prototype Philips LCD TVs more clearly than before, and will be much sought after release; the bad news is that there is only a prototype at the moment, and may not be available for a general consumer.

Philips has not offered release or the date of distribution. In short, the IFA is the Philips way of showing off a new HD technology and provide customers and resellers felt coming trends in HD technology.

Best Lcd Tv's

Procuring an LCD TV is more of an art than a purchase. Originally LCD TVs were available in only smaller sizes, but now they are obtainable in sizes as big as 50 inches. If big or small screen, LCD TVs suffer from certain flaws: they have lower contrast ratios, slower refresh rates and narrow viewing angles. Despite that, if certain precautions are taken, you could end up with the best LCD TV in the market.

Currently Sony, LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips, Sharp are the bigger brands in the LCD TV market. Even computer monitor manufacturers like Dell and Gateway have made a foray into the LCD TV market. But a big brand name does not ensure that the TV is the best. Even reputed companies purchase monitors and other parts from other countries to save on costs. This affects the overall quality of the TV. It is essential to check out the TV while it is in the showroom before ordering.

One thing to bear in mind is the aspect ratio. Some widescreen LCD TVs boast of an aspect ratio of 16 to 9. However, accepting blindly in this could be an error. Some screens just stretch the image to fit the screen. In doing so, the images become jagged and washed out. Best LCD TVs are those that can retain their resolutions even when the image is stretched to fit a 16 to 9 screen. Trust your eyes to judge that.

A separate thing is the viewing angle. LCD TVs were big duds earlier in relation to their viewing angles. Due to the pixel twisting principle of liquid crystal display monitors, LCD visuals would be almost invisible from more obtuse angles. But now, this problem is diminishing rapidly. Contemporary LCD TVs have viewing angles as obtuse as 160 degrees.

LCD TVs are at hand in three varieties: standard definition (SD), enhanced definition (ED) and high definition (HD). High definition TVs are the best as they can be used both as computer monitors as well as regular TVs as they can produce both digital as well as analog signals. These TVs have higher freeze rates and so they can better reproduce moving visuals.

These are primarily the distinctive features to check while considering a good LCD TV. Best LCD TVs could be those that have all the above features along with sleekness in design, lightness of weight and easy button controls.

How does Philips Lumea work?

Gentle pulses of light are applied directly to the hair. The melanin in the hair and hair root absorbs the light pulses. This process results in the follicle going into a resting phase. The hair sheds naturally and re-growth is inhibited. A simple and gentle treatment once every two to four weeks will prevent hair roots from becoming active again and prevent new hair from growing back.

Three phases of hair growth

To properly understand how Intense Pulsed Light works, you first need to know the three hair growth phases:
  1. Active phase:
The hair begins its growth from the root, and gradually extends further above the skin. In this phase, the substance melanin (which gives hair its colour) is at its highest. The more melanin in the hair root the darker the colour of the hair. The Philips Lumea SC2001/00 Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology works best on dark hair as it attaches itself to the pigment.
  2. Regression phase:
Hair stops growing and the root starts to shrink in preparation to shed the hair.
  3. Resting phase:The old hair detaches from the root and is slowly forced out by the new hair, which is growing underneath. The root remains at rest until the body tells it to re-enter the active phase
In summary, regular use can inhibit hair growth and at last remove the need for shaving or painful waxing and will not only permanently enhance your appearance but also save you a lot of money very quickly. Just add up all the waxing treatments or salon visits you have in a year and work out just how much you will save.

Samsung LE40A336 - An Affordable Entry Level TV For Any Living Room

Upgrading to an LCD TV is most certainly on the minds of any homeowner. This addition is not only a great move to improve your viewing experience and derive more pleasure from it, but it's also a fantastic advancement in heightening the looks and beauty of any room. And with a 40 inch HD Ready LCD TV, any living room would certainly receive an instant boost. But, is a 40 inch flat screen TV too much? Not with the Samsung LE40A336 LCD TV.

The Samsung LE40A336 LCD TV is a part of the Series 3 model which Samsung released in 2008. This series represented the most affordable level of all the models released that year, and was Samsung's offering for people to have the chance to own a top quality TV from a known and reputable TV manufacturer without having to close out their bank accounts. The Samsung LE40A336 is the biggest screen size available in the line-up with 6 other lower sizes available, namely, the 37, 32, 26, 22, and 19 inch models.

The Samsung LE40A336 LCD TV and all of the lower sized models fund in the series were given a 720p resolution, which to some, may seem low as compared to higher end models which featured a native resolution of 1080p. But, for most people, noticing the difference between the two is highly difficult, the distinction only benefits TV sets with a larger screen like the ones that are 50 inches and above. Watching a High Definition image on a 720p 40 inch TV yields almost the same quality as a same size 1080p TV with the same image input and only those that have had vast experience in image quality discrimination will be able to give a good scrutiny.

So what's the difference then with buying an entry level and the higher end models? Lots of features. Most low level LCD TVs, like the Samsung LE40A336 LCD TV still receive top-notch specifications but are stripped of a number of features available for the more expensive models. And with a 40 inch LCD TV, going top level will also mean going for broke.

And a 40 inch TV will definitely be a great looking addition to a room whether your setting up a home entertainment system, placing it on a rack, table, or hanging it to a wall. There's nothing quite like inviting your friends over and watching TV at a large screen. What's more, even though it's not pricey, it doesn't look cheap. In fact, it has a great stylish design that evokes simplicity in mind training the focus to the centre of the set, the screen, where its best qualities stand out. Coated with a piano black colour, its frame and bezel is devoid of tiny buttons and only the manufacturer's name can be seen. Invisible to the eye and hidden inside are two 10 watt speakers with Tru-Surround audio output.

Being a part of the entry level, the Samsung LE40A336 LCD TV offers only the basic operation features, including sleep timer, on and off timer with a clock, auto power off and channel search, auto volume leveller, and teletext. Using the menu is one of its high points, it is very user friendly.

Samsung LE22A457 Review: 22 Inch HD Ready Digital LCD Television

While the early versions of the television set were made using cathode ray tubes, today's television sets are slimmer, lighter, and occupy lesser space. Among the most popular television variants today include LCD's, or liquid crystal display TV sets. An LCD TV uses liquid crystal technology, to produce sharper, more vivid images. LCD television sets are also lighter and thinner than cathode ray sets, and offer other practical interoperable features too. With lower manufacturing costs and increased production, LCD TV sets have eventually gained dominance of the TV market today.

What Are The Disadvantages of LCD TV Sets?
While LCD television sets are the most widely produced and sold variants today, compared to Plasma TV sets, they do have their fair share of flaws and quirks. According to television experts, these TV types are relatively inefficient when it comes to power use per display size, since the large majority of light is produced at the back of the screen, and is blocked once it reaches the viewer. Here's a review of the Samsung LE22A457 LCD TV.

Does The Samsung LE22A457 LCD TV Have Any Drawbacks?
While this Samsung television is a very smart-looking compact TV with a superior picture quality, some customers have mentioned a couple of drawbacks to using it. Some viewers have complained of a little motion blurs especially on fast moving action or sport sequences. Whenever you're watching Freeview though, you may need to boost the signal by suing an antenna booster, especially in some areas, although it offers better picture quality with Blu-Ray and regular DVD's.

Some TV owners have also ranted about the Samsung LE22A457's less than expected sound quality, a swell as the limited connection capabilities. For small and medium-sized rooms though, the TV set's sound levels would be more then enough. The limited connections though may be a bit distressing, since there are no white and red jack plugs which serve as audio outputs. However, if you connect your iPod or MP3 player to it, the sound quality is exceptional though. This TV may also work fully well with old home cinema systems, therefore you may need to connect it via the yellow video lead to achieve better picture quality.

In summary though, the Samsung LE22A457 LCD TV  is a good deal for its price range. Many buyers say they'd probably give it a five-star rating, if not for its less-than desired sound quality. However, for general use, this LCD TV set is worth the price, although you may need to connect it to something else if you want to watch your favourite action movie.

Samsung Televisions: At the Forefront of TV Technology

Samsung, a Korean based conglomerate, is one of the most successful companies thriving today, and one of its highly acclaimed subsidiaries is the Samsung Electronics, the maker of world-renowned Samsung televisions. As of 2008, Samsung have outsold every other television brands for the past nine quarters consecutively. And in the third quarter of 2009, Samsung had a 23 percent market share of the television market. This huge numbers only say one thing, televisions manufactured by Samsung are superb and consumers want them.

Samsung was a company that did not initially manufacture television sets. It was only in the early 70s, when European and American manufacturers shared their technology to the company for the rights to sell TVs in Korea, did Samsung look closely at the market and decided to launch their own TV. Samsung designed their first TV, a black and white set, in 1970 and produced it in 1972 for domestic sale, by 1976, there were one million black and white Samsung televisions produced. Barely two years after, that number increased to 4 million, the most that any manufacturer produced. 1977 was the year Samsung decided to manufacture colour TV sets and at the same time, inspired by their domestic success, market their TV products all over Asia. By 1981, Samsung televisions were selling rapidly, 10 million black and white sets and 1 million collared units produced.

From then on, Samsung has become a household name worldwide, not only for their TVs, but also for their other electronic products, and this is because of their various innovative advancements in their products. For example, in 1995, the first 33 inch double screen TV was introduced, and it was one of the Samsung televisions. Also, earlier during that period, Samsung, which collaborated with Sony in creating Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens, developed the largest LCD screens for a TV at 30 inches, which comparably today is miniscule but was a revolutionary feature then. From 1998, Samsung continued to be at the forefront in sales and TV development. That same year came the introduction of flat screen Samsung television and the first line of digital television sets in the planet. Other noteworthy and remarkable developments from Samsung include the release of the thinnest TV in 2002, and in 2006, the first LCD screen that was double-sided.

Today, Samsung televisions are highly regarded in the US market and the brand is ranked first in the US market for Digital TV, a recognition it has held for 4 consecutive years. And with different models to choose from, there is a Samsung TV for everyone. With the winning combination of superb output image quality, energy efficiency, and stunning design, there is a Samsung TV perfect for every home.
